About Elena
Hi! My name is Elena Hawley and I'm a RYT-200hr, currently completing my YT-500hr certification and Yoga Therapy program. I'm also certified as a Prenatal yoga teacher (PYT-85hr), Children and teens Yoga teacher with Trauma informed focus (CYT-95hr), Breath coach, Trapeze Yoga Teacher. I teach Vinyasa style yoga, Trapeze Yoga (Yoga in hammocks), Chair yoga, Restorative Yoga. My passion is to make Yoga accessible to everybody!
I began practicing yoga more than 10 years ago in Russia and fell in love with it. I truly believe that practicing yoga helps to improve well-being and enable one to become more content and happy.
When I moved to the USA, I got my first yoga teacher’s training because of my desire to help people. My background includes working as a psychologist and a teacher. This was always my passion - to help people grow and develop. The same in yoga: I see the role of a teacher as a helper and supporter in a person’s path to a better Self, where the first step is deeper knowledge of who you really are.
I enjoy teaching different classes and different populations: kids, older population, prenatal students, beginners, gentle or powerful Vinyasa flow classes, Restorative classes. I really enjoy helping people to find their favorite style of yoga. My professional interest is influence of Yoga on health and well-being, the therapeutic effects of Yoga practice. That's why I choose the path of Yoga Therapist (the specialist who use Yoga practices - asanas, meditations, breathing exercises, diet - to improve one's physical and mental condition).

She tailored the class to her students. We have been practicing yoga for 3 years, but as we are senior citizens, we occasionally need a slower pace or accommodations to the practice. Elena was able to adjust the class to all of the students needs.
