At Breathe and Just Begin we pride ourselves on customer service and satisfaction. I started teaching because I was having such a great experience with the benefits of yoga. It has brough such a foundation of wellness into my daily routine. I enjoy sharing this with others.
I am a certified yoga instructor, and I also have certifications in breathwork and Gravity Yoga targeted mobility training. I am obtaining another yoga based mobility certification in early February. I am constantly learning myself so that I can share more with students!

I like to start with understanding what the student would like to get out of the experience. I know that yoga can be intimidating but there are tons of variations in the movement aspect. I enjoy making elements accessible to new students.
I have worked with students of various ages, disciplines, and backgrounds...from all over the world! Yoga means "to yoke" or "union"--it has been great building community and I look forward to more experiences!
To not limit or doubt yourself! Teachers are here to make the experience work for you! You don't have to figure it out on your own...we can meet you where you are at skillwise. Let us help!
I taught yoga to middle schoolers as part of a "self-care and empowerment" conference and it was so special. It was great to see students engaging in tools (including breathing exercises) that they can take with them through the rest of their life--in exams, school applications, job interviews, networking, and other professional and personal development.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think it is so great for a student to share what they are looking for, especially since this is time out of their day that is valuable! Students can share what they are comfortable with, are they experiencing any injury that I should know about before we begin, etc. Being authentic in the process makes the journey that much more beautiful.

To a novice, yoga can be intimidating, but I felt tremendous peace and grace. It felt safe. I left the class feeling open, refreshed and less intimidated by yoga. The class moved at the perfect pace and had a kind rhythm.
I really enjoyed Yoga with Kamilah, I had not done Yoga for years, but Kamilah’s guidance made my experience so enjoyable. Definitely looking forward to my next session.
