About Laura
I am Laura Ingersoll, also known as Serendipity Wyrd - my magickal persona and business. I am a yoga and meditation teacher (RYT® 200) certified through Yoga Alliance since 2019. I also offer intuitive guidance sessions / readings using various tarot and / or oracle decks.

I've always been drawn to teaching and sharing my interests since childhood. My favorite game as a kid was playing "school".
I began studying yoga when I was 12, thanks to a VHS tape rented at a Blockbuster! From these recorded sessions, I learned the importance of the breath and focusing on the way my body moves.
Breathwork helped me tremendously throughout my 20s as I sought methods to cope with anxiety and panic attacks.
In my 30s, I returned to actively practicing yoga and meditation, as I sought to heal emotional scars while gaining an edge over depression and anxiety.
As I've grown in my spiritual pursuits, in my yoga and meditation practices, it only seemed natural to expand my practice to teaching others the skills that have helped me find contentment, focus, and calm.
200 hour Yoga Teacher Training completed in 2019 with The Shiva Yoga Shala, included certificaiton in teaching yoga and meditation.

I've worked with a diverse mix of students - both experienced yogi and those just beginning. Being a person in a bigger body, I know the struggle of finding a yoga teacher who understands that not everyone is young, fit, and skinny.
I believe that EVERYONE can benefit from yoga regardless of your body shape, size, or ability. I specialize in finding modifications to fit the body you are in, now!
Meet with the teacher before commiting your money and trust your gut! The energetic connection between teacher and student is often overlooked. Ask lots of questions - especially if you have a bigger or non-traditional yoga body.
Ideas for questions to ask a potential teacher:
Do you help your students learn to make modifications and use props in their practice?
As a student, am I able to ask questions before, during, or after a practice?
What recommendations do you have for new students?
