About Ivie
Ivie Cornwell (RYT-200hrs) was first introduced to yoga in 2007, when she moved to Oahu and discovered the incredible healing potential of the practice. She has her M.Ed in secondary education and became YogaEd certified in 2010. She has worked with middle and high school students. Currently, Ivie teaches in Kailua and privately. Yoga has been a love of mine for a long time. After having two children, I decided to get my training to become a registered teacher. I worked with teachers for over ten years, learning the practice, and always knew I wanted to teach when the time was right.
I have practices yoga for over ten years and have a full understanding of yoga in the body. I am a registered yoga instructor with a 200hr certificate. I am also YogaEd certified to work with children or schools for K-12 grades. I hold my master's degree in education.

I offer a phone or personal consultation with each new student. During the consultation, we will discuss goals and objectives, pain or injuries, and develop a personal plan together. Each private yoga session is 75 minutes, and will begin with a quick discussion about any areas of insterest, pain, or poses the students would like to address during the session. Students are offered centering and breath work, meditation and relaxation, and asanas that lengthen and strengthen for healthy movement. The session is catered to each individual. I will provide yiga blocks, yoga straps, blankets, yoga mat, and foam roller if needed.
I work with all students. The practice of yoga is for all bodies at all levels. I have worked with middle and high school students through the YogaEd program. In the studio, I've worked with all bodies, from beginner yogis to advanced.
