About Saumya
I love tutoring! As an aerospace engineering graduate from Georgia Tech, crunching numbers whether its in physics or math problems is super interesting to me. When I was in high school, I was a local math tutor at my public library and currently mentor with engineering classes at our local makerspace. My service has the benefit of real life engineering background with experience at companies such as SpaceX and Blue Origin.
I love seeing a student really grasp the math knowledge! It's difficult sometimes with limited time in school to really go into the nuances of all the different types of problems, so having extra practice with a tutor always helps. STEM is such a wonderful field, and I love when female and non-binary students really learn to excel!
I am currently in the process of obtaining my BS in aerospace engineering at Georiga Tech. I have several engineering internship experience at top aerospace companies, so I know how to be fully present with the task at hand. When I was in high school, I was a local math tutor at my public library for two years and taught K-8 grade math. Furthermore, while in college, I have mentor incoming freshman/sophomores with their engineering classes at our makerspace.

My typical process or working with a new student involves looking at their past homework assignments and seeing how they approach the problem. It's important to see how a student processes a problem to see how to either improve their technique or see the gaps in their knowledge. I would also like to provide them with some extra work to help level up their capabilities.
I would definitely ask that student to reflect on what areas they are struggling with and why they think they are struggling in those areas. The first step towards improvement is recognizing where you need help. Then, I can help you become the best math student you can be!
