About Kevin

I have been a tutor for the past 3 years for college-level courses

I enjoy seeing my students grow and understand subjects that they struggled with in the past

I was a tutor through the honors society at my highschool and then was contacted for private tutoring through one of the memebers of my church. When I got to college I became a teachers aid because I wanted to help students understand complicated subject matter. I also enjoyed the feeling of helping students with subjects that they struggled with.

I have been a private tutor in the past. I have also worked as a teaching assistant for college level courses for 2 years. This incleded holding office hours for large group discussion and help as well as individual one-on-one appointments with students who needed them.

About the lesson

Design a diagonstic exam to determine at what level the student is at, then using that information begin to design a custom curriculum to address weak spots and develop a better fundamental understanding.

I have worked with a wide range of students ranging from those who have needed various one-on-one sessions to those who wanted more challenging problems to push their understand of the subject.

You should feel comfortable asking questions to a teacher and they should be able to explain the answer in a variety of ways. Don't be afraid to say you didn't understand the first explanation of a problem.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Instead of saying that you don't understand a whole problem think about what parts of the problem seem the most confusing and which parts of a problem you feel comfortable with.
