About Sun
Unlike many other tutors on this platform, I am still in high school. This allows me to better relate to the students that I help and the problems that they might be facing. I can help in any math class up to BC Calculus, as BC Calculus is the highest-level math class I have taken thus far.
With tutoring, I am motivated more by progress than I am with money. I really enjoy being able to see the students that I help improve.
Last summer, I was able to tutor an 8th grader going into Algebra I who was really struggling with math. By helping her and watching her improve greatly, I realized that I was quite skilled at tutoring and I also realized that it made me very happy to help others. Since then, I have kept helping this 8th grader, but I have also started to help an 11th grader in Pre-Calculus w/ Trigonometry.
I have great expertise when it comes to math. Although I am only a junior in high school, I finished AP BC Calculus in my sophomore year with a 97% average and a 5 on the AP test. Not to mention, I scored a perfect 800 score on the Level 2 Math SAT Subject Test at the end of my freshman year. I also have experience with math tutoring. Most recently, I tutored a girl now in 8th-grade. In the first grading period in her 7th-grade year, she received a 77%. In the first grading period in her 8th-grade year, she received a 90%.

I usually take a one-hour session to test a new student's logical reasoning, their ability to retain information, and their knowledge of mathematical concepts. I use the information I gather from this session to tailor my tutoring to the student's specific needs.
