About Nashita

I believe that I am fun, uplifting, and caring which creates an environment where students are not only comfortable with me as a teacher, but confident in their abilities and what they do.

The most important thing for me is to be flexible and to teach in specific learning styles of each student, while developing a close, yet professional relationship with them to build comfort and confidence in the learning environment.

Mathematics is a hard subject that can have quite confusing methods and concepts, but once you understand the problems, it's not only accomplishing, but can be very fun as well.

Helping students understand what they are learning, boosting their confidence in their work/learning abilities, and showing them the fun in math are the things I find myself enjoying the most!

In high school, I used to tutor kids from ages 3-12. Every Sunday for 4 hours, I would go to my local mosque and help them read and write in Arabic.ย 

Currently, I am a full-time student at San Jose State University majoring in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in computations. In school, I have helped several people in study groups ranging from Precalculus all the way to Discrete Mathematics.

With my experience of taking several math-related courses, I believe that I will be able to offer help on many different math levels which include:

- Algebra 1

- Algebra 2

- Geometry

- Precalculus

- College level Algebra

- Discrete Mathematics

- Any K-12 math level courses

My typical process starts with getting to know the student. I believe this is one of the most important things that allows the student to be completely comfortable with their teacher. The most important thing to me is that they associate good feelings with me rather than bad, so they are never afraid to ask me any questions.



I have worked with students as young as 3 and as old as 21! Because of the wide range of ages of people that I have worked with, I am able to work in whatever pace that the student wants to go.
