About Landon
The best way to learn is to teach yourself by critically thinking through each phase of the problem at hand. My goal as a tutor is to provide the assistance, feedback, and resources necessary for my students to fully grasp the fundamentals of the subject they are studying. I believe once we achieve this level of understanding together the student becomes the master, and will be able to apply what they have learned far beyond the scope of their classroom assignment. As a recent graduate from the department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University I strive to connect with students on a peer to peer level and help them overcome each of their own academic challenges.
Math is a daunting and foreign subject to most, and it can be difficult to appreciate what makes the subject useful or interesting. However, mathematics at its core is the language of our universe. Spoken another way, math describes how things happen, how they did happen, and even how they WILL happen in the future. To develop an intuitive understanding of mathematics is to understand the how and the why of what goes on around us. The process of helping others to achieve this new perspective and comprehension is what I enjoy most about teaching.
