About Madeline

I love sharing the joy of learning with young students. I am good at time managemnt, orginizational skills, and teaching behaviors that lead to sucess in additon to focusing on the given subject.

My first jobs teaching were through ballet. I currently teach at Princeton Ballet School to a variety of ages.

I am a highschool graduate and a University of California Irvine alumni. I took my first college classes when I was thirteen years old. I have experence with traditional public school, charter school, online school, homeschooling, comunity college, and university level classes.

About the lesson

After basic introductions, I like to ask students what they would like to gain from tutoring sessions beyond grade improvemnt. I believe that the best way to improve and grow is by taping into our inner curisosty and accademic/career goals.

I have worked with students of various ages and abilities.

I would advise a student to find someone they feel they are compatable with beyond basic qualifications. I think that a good teacher can make such an impact on young people, and that the right teacher can be life changing.

Last summer I travled to Tahiti with my family to visit my uncle and cousin. I leared to scuba dive with my three siblings and my parents. It gave me a such an apreciaton for nature and the respect that we should have for the beautful world around us. It was like being on an alien planet and I will never forget it.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask themselves what there goals are both academically and personaly, and think about how their teachers can help them meet these goals. Additionaly, I think that it is important to enphisise that eveyone is differnt, and certain people need accomidations to be the best student they can be. Knowing what you need and having the confidence to fight for it is so important througout accedmic life.

I addapt my lessons based on what each individual student needs. However, I usualy start by reviewing the relevent meterial beforehand, and asking what the parents want me to focus on. Once I am with the student, I ask where they think they need the most help and go from there.
