About Cristiana
On paper, I am a professional dancer and dance teacher, with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Sociology. Personally, I am interested in language of all kind and am passionate about all of the ways we communicate. I see as much value in the way we express ourselves through movement as I see in our written and spoken language.
As a dance teacher, I believe it is so important to gain awareness of our bodies and our movement capabilities as we grow and experience physical change. The kinds of classes I offer can range from technical dance, to yoga/dance fitness, to creative movement for young bodies. I have experience teaching all age levels and abilities, and will cater to the student's specific level and needs.
While I teach dance professionally, I am also able to tutor elementary levels of English with a focus on spelling and grammar. I have volunteered for many years helping children understand the weaving of letters and words in order to better communicate. I find that the combining of movement with verbal language can bring great success.
