About Maria
I am a computational Neuroscience PhD student at UCSF, with a strong STEM background and experience tutoring for 8 years.
I believe in student-centered learning, where I emphasize the student's capacity to lead and share decision-making efforts.
I have tutored students for the ACT/SAT since 2012 (Personal ACT score: 35). From 2013-2017, I helped high schoolers with their STEM-related AP coursework. I then worked at Google and am now a computational Neuroscience PhD student at UCSF. And as a result, I am constantly applying my STEM background to my day-to-day work.
