About Hemal Reddy
I am a college student who is pursuing my Bachelors in Computer Engineering at University of California Santa Cruz. I am curretly going onto my 4th and final year. I love math and can understand it at a deeper level but also have the capability to understand where students need the most work. I can help grade assignments, help problem solve if you are stuck, and provide useful tips and hints that can help you excel.
I used to tutor kids in my neighborhood during highschool as a way to get experience working with people and to solidify my own knowledge and to learn new things as I went on the journey.
I finished high school with 4 years of math. These include AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Geometry, Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics. During my time at college, I have completed, Applied Mathematics and Applied Mathematics Advanced, Discrete Math, and have taken college level logic courses in a STEM field.

My typical process starts of with first understanding what the student requires and understand what they already know. One the student and I are on the same page, I like to lay out the game plan of what we should tackle during our session. If the student needs help with something then we try to tackle it unless the student is not sure of the concepts then we need to go over concepts first. Once the session is over I may give the student some homework based on what needs to be improved. During our next session I review that homework and we proceed to the next chapter.
I have never officially worked with students.
I would recommend the student to try to find someone who has been in your shoes and can relate to what you are going through.
One recent event that I am very fond of actually happened at my internship. I currently intern at a tech startup where I was in charge of a small research project. The thing that makes me really amazed and happy is that I was able to learned so much of a new technology just from others teaching me rather than me having to do all the research myself.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should understand at a basic level where they are trying to be and what their end goal is. They should have atleast tried todo research of their own on what they need to learn.

Details
I usually charge per hour basis. I charge $25-40 per hour based on the work I need to put into the student's success. If the student has a a lot to work on in a very short period of time expect prices to be $35-40. If the student is very willing to learn and over achieving, expect prices to be around $25-30.
