About Roxanne
I have been tutoring Math and English for 3 years helping high school and college students. I have worked at CSUN as a Student Instructor in charge of 30 students as well as a tutor in multiple algebra labs. I have also done a lot of one on one tutoring for high schoolers. Throughout this time I have honed my skills of tutoring and have been able to really get through to my students. I am currently hoping to expand my clientele.
Being able to pass on the knowledge I have acquired is something that brings me great joy. I am very much a believer in spreading as much education as possible and if I can aid in that process then that's even better. Seeing the look of understanding on a students face and hearing the accomplishment in their voice when they aced a test is a satisfaction I feel is unparalleled.
After receiving an A in my college math class the university reached out about tutoring labs on campus. From there I realized how much I enjoyed tutoring and began to respond to flyers for individual tutoring jobs.
I will be going into my 4th year of my bachelors degree and I have taken college math up to Calculus. I have been tutoring college labs and high school students for 3 years.

I like to see the skill level of the student and go from there. Once I determine where they are at, I am able to focus on their weaknesses and keep them emboldened by remarking on their strengths. I think positivity and patience are crucial when working with new students.

If the student is in a 5 mile radius I charge $25 an hour, if in a 10 mile radius I charge $30 an hour.
