About Lucinda

I offer Private 1-to-1 Math Tutoring backed by 22 years of classroom experience and 18 years of Private Math Tutoring in my home.

I am kind and patient and very well versed in the subjects I tutor.

I hold a BA in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Monmouth College and I am a certified Math teacher.

I am very well versed in the topics I tutor ... I very rarely have to look anything up. I like tutoring in my home and like working with one student at a time vs a classroom of students.

I have worked with Autistic and Dyslexic students many times, with success, BUT I am not special ed certified.

I do have cats and a dog ....

It is what I did after going to college. It is my profession.

I hold a BA in Mathematics and Secondary Education.

I have 22 years classroom experience.

I have 18+ years private tutoring experience.

About the lesson

Generally my students come to me with homework assignments to work on. I start by helping them with their homework and through working with them, I begin to notice where their weaknesses are. I calmly and patiently, over time, try to repair those areas where there are weaknesses.

I prefer to work with High School and College students.

I have worked with students who are "on the spectrum" and also with students who are 504 or in Spec Ed. However, I am NOT Spec Ed certified.

My skills in that area are patience and kindness.

You tend to get what you pay for ....

Not quite sure what you want here .... I like what I do ... students like coming to me ... parents like that their kids like coming to me .... it's all good.

I am a Math Tutor .... This Question makes no sense to me.

Can the student do the Math or not? If they cannot do the Math, I will help them.

Perfect! Ms. Mack was a phenomenal math tutor for my college student. My daughter was having a difficult time understanding college Algebra and with Covid, she was not getting help at school, and was in danger of failing. Ms.Mack made my daughter feel more confident and comfortable and helped her get a C or maybe even a B! I cannot say enough good things about this tutor!!!! She is great and I highly recommend her.

I was able to pass the college math assessment. This was extremely import to me because I did not want/have to take any remedial math courses. I was able to get into college algebra which was the last class I needed to go into nusesung school. Math-Matters was amazing and I highly recommend it!
