About Joseph
I am a certified Texas teacher with years of experience helping students succeed in math and physics. With a Texas teaching certification in math and science, I’m dedicated to making these subjects approachable and rewarding for all my students.
Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working with high school students of all levels, whether they’re building a strong foundation or tackling advanced topics. My background includes one-on-one tutoring sessions and classroom teaching, allowing me to adjust my approach to fit each student’s unique needs. I’ve been tutoring online for years, even before the pandemic, and recently received training to integrate IXL, a Wyzant partner, into my sessions. With IXL and Wyzant’s tools, I can offer targeted assessments, curriculum support, and detailed feedback tailored to each student's learning journey.
I currently offer tutoring in Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Physics, and Calculus. My sessions are all about you: I encourage open questions, encourage curiosity, and focus on making every lesson engaging and supportive. Watching my students experience those "aha!" moments is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I’m committed to helping you reach your potential.

My son has been working with Joe for high school advanced math (PreAp Algebra 2, PreCal and now Calculus) for several years now and it has been a lifesaver. Joe is patient and knowledgeable and works around our busy schedules. We've also seen significant improvements in grades. Details
My rate is $60.00/hr (30 minutes session are $30, 60 minute $60 etc...). I charge by the time spent with the student - not the time scheduled. Same day cancellations or re-schedules pay for 30 minutes. There is no penalty for occasionally canceling with proper notice. Cancel for any reason - no need to hold a session if it isn’t needed or wanted that day.
