About Hedy
I am a retired teacher, with a mulltiple subject credential. I have total 25 years of teaching experience. Having a multiple subject credetial allows me to work with students from k to 6th grade. I also speak, read and write in Spanish.
I love to work and know how to work with children, including children with minor learning dissabilities.
I enjoy teaching very much to elementary children. This is where my experience and strenght comes from.
I started teaching English to children in Puebla, Mexico. I loved it so much, so I decided to return to California. I went back to school and received my multiple subject teaching credential as well as a Master Degree in Educatin Adminstration.
I have 25 years of teaching experience. I have Buisness Bachelor degree, a Multiple Subject credential for elementary and a Master Degree in Education Administration. I have taught every grade level from Kinder to sixt grade. The last nine years, I have been teaching 6th grade (math, science and ancient civilization).

I will first see the strenghts and needs of the student. From there, I will develop a plan to help the student's to meet their academic standards.
I work mainly with elementary students from kinder to sixth grade. I have also worked with students with special needs.
I do NOT work with middle or high school students.
I usually do some type of evaluation to see where student is and how far we need to go. I go through the steps, some small steps and others may be larger. It all depends on the stuent's needs.
It is always a wonderful feeling to see how the students learn the material while having fun.

I have a multiple subject credential, so I can also teach all the subjects at an elementary level.
