About Ismael
Currently a private tutoring company with a single employee who is highly qualified and very motivated to teach/tutor Mathematics up to Calculus 1
Limited time COVID-19 offer of $19/hr with the option to pay at the end of the month and with no advanced payments.
Currently employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant but with the current situation work has been put on hold.
Tutoring experience: began tutoring in 2013 as a volunteer for North Lake Community College, started with Developmental Mathematics and advanced all the way to Pre-Calculus. Afterwards transferred to Texas A&M Univeristy-Commerce and employed at Math Skills Center (Supervisor: Dr. Pamela Webster), worked there for 2 semesters and after taking time off returned as a Paper Grader. Applied for a Graduated Teaching Assistant position and was hired with responsbility for Friday recitations and proctoring/grading quizes for 1 section of Calculus 1 and another of Calculus 2. This most recent semester was responsible for 2 sections of Calculus 2 classes with 75 total students, responsibilties included taking attendance, assigning lab work, collecting previous assignments, and grading/keeping records of the scores.
Qualification: Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Computer Science (May 2018)
Accomplishments: Tier 1 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, Dallas County Sherrif's Association Scholarship, Toward, Excellense, Access & Success (TEXAS) Grant recepient, and 1st place at MAA Texas Section Calculus Bowl competition.
