About Valerie
I have always had a passion for math and I want others to be able to realize that math is nothing more than playing with numbers.
I like helping people. Most will say math is boring but I think it's just playing with numbers.
In the eighth grade I became a peer tutor for fifth graders helping them learn math.
I have a younger brother who I help with his math homework on a regular basis. I also have been a peer tutor at my school for the last two years.

The first class I try and figure out what students are interested in and how I can adapt my tutoring to their learning style. One of the most important parts of tutoring is becoming a good relationship with your tutor because learning becomes easier when you are comfortable with who is teaching you.
We are here to help. Don't be ashamed of asking for it.
