About Rakesh
I am a business leader who has a passion for Math. I have a Masters in Mathematics and Computational Sciences and have mentored and coached students online for over 15 years. I love teaching and explaining concepts to students, am patient and very responsive.
If you are looking for someone with patience, experience who can provide personalized tutoring in math, that is me!
I have taught students for many years pro-bono, and love engaging with and teaching students. I used to be a teaching assistant during my graduate years and then continued mentoring, coaching and teaching students at local community colleges. I am also involved in teaching and coaching underprivileged students through the "Giving Tree" a non profit company that works with SahasraDeepika to help underprivileged kids in India.

I first setup a orientation and discovery call to understand student needs and training requirements. This helps me build a customized curriculum to address the student needs. I then create a graduated learning plan tailored to the student needs and start lessons.
Students typically in middle school, high school or college. I also have taught MBA students and served as a coach
Look for someone that can respond to your needs and is flexible. Each student learns at their own pace and is different. A one size fits all plan will not work. Avoid teachers that attempt to force fit lesson plans and do not focus on improvement areas. I also believe that providing feedback is a way to grow, feedback is not personal but when provided in the right manner helps the student to take action and improve. Most teachers shy away from constructive feedback, so look for those that are engaging and can work with you 1:1
