About Jarod
I first fell in love with tutoring my freshman year of high school after seeing the difference that I could make in a student's education. Since a young age, I've realized how dependent attitude and performance in school are on the ability of a teacher to connect with the student. Every student's mind works differently, which causes teachers to make the hard decision of sticking to one learning style that roughly works for the majority. I faced these challenges throughout my time in school and formed a method that has allowed me to succeed both academically and beyond.
I have experience tutoring math from Pre-Algebra to Multivariate Calculus. I was in an accelerated math program since middle school that allowed me to take courses three years ahead of my current grade level, so I have lots of experience with algebra and calculus-based courses. In terms of standardized tests, I scored a 5 on Calculus AB and BC, 790 on SAT Math, and 800 on the SAT Math II Subject Test. I received in A in Multivariate Calculus during my first semester at Princeton and am performing well in my Linear Algebra course.

I offer personalized support to the student and help the student to create a solid conceptual foundation in their area of study. Questions are always encouraged because I believe asking questions may be the most important habit for any student to have. I hope to help the student succeed not achieve a better grade in the course, but also fully understand the material in an effort reduce stress and confusion in current and future courses.
