About Riya
Hi! My name is Riya and I am going into my sophomore year of High School. I am very familiar with Pre-Algebra as well as Algebra. I am also happy to help with Spanish I. Math and Spanish are my favorite subjects in school, and continue to fascinate me and motivate me to do well. I am doing honors Algebra II next year, as well as honors Spanish III. I have finished all of these courses within the last couple of years so I remember them well and am happy to help! Please consider me for a tutoring position. I love working with kids and seeing them progress! I haven't formally tutored before, however, I have helped children with their classes before in an informal matter. I cannot wait to begin teaching!
I have always gone to extra help and paid attention in class, which has allowed me to grasp ways students learn in the classroom. I myself have found it difficult to grasp certain types of class material, and Math and Spanish have been classes that I have enjoyed teaching and growing in. I am so excited to help other children do the same!

Through my twelve years as a student, I have experienced different learning techniques, and have found which are most effective in the classroom. Some learners may find it easier to learn in a visual way, however, some may find it easier to learn from a verbal standpoint. Whatever it may be, I am determined to find the best way possible to teach my student.

So helpful! I was a little lost on multiplying and dividing fractions, and I have such a better understanding. She was super nice.
