About Nitya

I have had a lot of experience tutoring younger children. I am so fond of the lasting impact I can make and will always be 100% invested in your child's improvement. I am very experienced in many subjects and was even awarded as the "ELA Student of the Year" for both my 9th and 10th grade years. I have always had a passion for helping others and due to Covid-19, I haven't been able to tutor in person due to the safety of myslef and my students. I am committed to furthering my impact, so I came to this website in order to pursue this passion despite these hard times.

I enjoy being there for the student as someone they can come to with diffulties and simply seeing me as a friend that wants to help them improve. I love seeing the success of my students from when they start off being unsure to when they finish with utmost confidence. My favorite part about tutoring is seeing the spark in each kid and their face when something finally clicks. I truly believe there is no better person than another student, such as myself, to help your child by connecting to them and explaining in terms they understand.

Ever since I was in 3rd grade, my teachers would always ask me to lead small groups to help other students. As I got older, I started spending a lot of time helping kids that were struggling in basic math and english/grammar skills. Now, given my experience and time I've spent tutoring, I love just being able to see improvement in the kids I teach and am elated by their parent's repsonse to their achievements.

I am currently an 11th grade high school student. I have professionally tutored children from pre-k to 8th grade during summers. I have taken an array of AP courses and have always been an accelerated/honors student in all of my courses.

Some of the courses I have taken/am taking:

- Accerated Algebra 1 & 2

- Accerated Geomerty A & B

- Accerated Precalculus

- AP Calculus BC

- Honors Chemistry

- Honors Biology

- AP Environmental Science

- Honors 9th & 10th Grade Literature

- AP Language/Composition

etc.

About the lesson

I am a huge advocate for just listening to what the child needs. I believe that it is so incredibly important for them to tell me what they feel they are struggling with. I always start out by seeing what they already know and then we set a goal of where they want to be and what they want to accomplish.

I have worked with students in every grade level from pre-k to 8th grade. I have worked with students who were struggling to understand basics, those who needed help with homework/classwork, and those who simply wanted to further their knowledge to get ahead in their studies.

My pricing is very flexible but mostly depends on the subject and grade level. I am always open to discussing whatever price you think feels best for the time I will spend with your child.
