About Madison
I'm currently a peer tutor at STCC in Springfield MA. I tutor in prealgebra algebra 1&2 and biology. I love helping people understand concepts they're struggling with.
I love watching people understand a concept they were struggling with. A lot of people think they're bad at math when its really just not being explained to them in a way they relate to.
I needed a part time job ontop of my schooling and I love helping people learn. It makes me really happy when I explain something and I can see the other person understand it.
I'm currently a peer tutor at the college I'm going to. I tutor in prealgebra and algebra 1&2. I'm also tutoring in biology. I currently have a 95 in my statistics class, I'm confident I could tutor in that.

I figure out what they're struggling most with and work from there. A lot of the time it's just small concepts that didnt stick when a teacher was teaching in a classroom. One on one really helps and regardless of your skill level I will not judge, I'm super proud that you guys are making an effort to learn:).
I work with college students of all ages. I've worked with teenagers and seniors.
Be honest if you dont understand something. The first time its explained it could just not click. I try to rephrase explanations in ways students can understand them.
I'm really fond of being a tutor. I love teaching people subjects I love.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should think about where their problem areas are. If they're stuck on a specific concept and come prepared with questions.
