About Gabrielle

I am currently in my third year at Northeastern University studying industrial engineering with a minor in entrepreneurship. I have a 3.94/4.00 GPA. I graduated from high school in the top five of my class with a perfect GPA of 4.00/4.00. With a background in engineering, my interests, passions, and skills lie in math and science. I also did very well on my standardized tests in high school, with an ACT score of 33. I would be happy to share the tips and tricks I used to achieve this score.

I genuinely enjoy learning and especially teaching others my knowledge. I have volunteered for Boston Public Schools as a peer mentor and tutor at the elementary school level, teaching English, Math, and Science once a week. It is a great feeling when you see a student understand a concept they previously did not. I have the ability to explain concepts in a variety of ways and will not stop until they are fully comprehended by the student. I look forward to connecting and learning more about you!

I graduated from high school with a perfect GPA and have been accepted to colleges such as Boston University, RPI, Stevens Institute of Technology, and George Washington University. I currently study at Northeastern University, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering. I have a 3.94/4.00 GPA. In high school, I held informal tutoring sessions during my free time with friends and classmates that were struggling with math and science subjects. In college, I have volunteered with Boston Public Schools tutoring elementary school students in English, Math, and Science once a week after school. I developed relationships with each student and saw immense progress in their skills.

About the lesson

I first get to know the student by asking what their interests and passions are and what they are currently studying in school. One thing I would like to know is their goals for the next few months or even years. If I know their goals, then I will be able to align my tutoring style with what they want to achieve. I would also like to know what their schedule is like. Are they busy or have more free time to devote to studies? Then, after that relationship is developed, I will ask what they are particularly struggling with and need help understanding.

I have worked with both elementary level students as well as high school students.
