About Alix
I am very patient and love helping students learn. It means so much to see that moment where someone's eyes light up and they "get it"!
It's amazing to see progress and learning happening, with just a little care, compassion, and patience!
I tutored fellow students throughout elementary, middle, and high school, and I worked as a teaching assistant in college at Berea College.
I have a Bachelors of Art from Berea College, where I double majored in English Literature and Writing and Women's and Gender Studies. I also have a Masters of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. As a student at Berea College, I worked as a teaching assistant for 3 years, primarily working with first generation college students, college Freshman, and other students on their essays and other writing assignments.

Let's get to know each other, find out what the barriers are, and work together to break them down!
First generation college students, college freshman, and children ages 6+.
Look for friendliness, compassion, patience, and a love of writing! I have all of those, and I'm sure there are other tutors who do, as well!
I recently got a new puppy and I am loving training her and teaching her about the world!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Have I googled this question? Have I asked any of my fellow classmates about how they're handling this assignment? Have I gone back and reread the instructions?
