About Adriana

I have been a full time teacher for 3 years and am looking to turtor and help students who are struggling in school amidst this difficult time. I serve students based on the belief that everyone can learn and succeed, and that there is no one way to learn. Through student-centered learning and frequent, individualized feedback, students are sure to see improvement in their classes.

Bachelor's Degree: graduated in 2018

Gonzaga University (History, Spanish, and Secondary Ed.)

Master's Degree: graduated in 2020

University of Notre Dame (Master's in Education)

Schools Worked in:

John R. Rogers High School, Spokane, WA (10th grade American History and 12th grade Government)

Notre Dame San Jose High School, San Jose, CA (9th grade Geography and 10th grade World History)

About the lesson

I typically like to get to know my students as they are inside and outside of the classroom. In addition, I think it is important to discuss what a student feels are their strenghts and weaknesses in order to work to find how to best support the student. From there, allowing for time to review, learn new content, practice, feedback, and discuss ideas is essential to the learning process.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are my strengths as a student?

Where do I find myself struggling the most? Do I know why?

What are my goals as a student?

What can my teachers do to help me the most?

I do not have a standard price at this time. I am very flexible in pricing for lessons, but I would change per hour.
