About Jacob

I hold an undergraduate degree in history as well as NJ teaching certifications in social studies and special education. I enjoy tecahing social studies and like to make social studies fun and engaging!

I have always had a passion for working with students and a passion for social studies so teaching social studies was a natural progression for me.

I studies history as an undergraduate and hold a BA from Rutgers University. I also hold NJ Teaching certification to teach grades P-12 social studies as well as P-12 special education. I have formal teaching experience in schools in southern New Jersey and students ages P-12.

About the lesson

I would like to meet with you either face to face at a public library or coffee shop or virtually via zoom or facetime. I think it is important you feel comfortable learning from me and will work with you to develope an education plan and goals.

I have worked with children from preschool to high school in various settings; before & after school care, summer camps, substitute teacher, long-term substitute, as well as special education in grades K-3 and 8th.

Before you hire a social studies tutor, you should make sure your personalities/leraning styles are aligned. It is SO important to feel comfortable with a tutor becuase learning cannot take place if you don't like me!

I am a life long learner and prode myself on continue my education throughout my life time. I am currently working on a masters degree in healthcare administration.
