About Cole

A Junior JMU education/ history major who has an advanced diploma and has completed a variety of AP, IB, and is within the top 10% of JMU students at a 3.9 GPA.

My goal is to connect with students in order to allow them to succeed on their own merits by focusing on ethical and individualized learning. I also want to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond by working with them in developing their strengths and working to create effective classroom strategies that they can take into their current classes and beyond.

I got started teaching when I found and fell in love with the JMU education program. With this program, I started to gain cutting-edge skills in teaching your child.

I am an education major in college and hence have taken a variety of courses on teaching and working with students with the most cutting edge methods. I also am in the teacher education program, meaning I have gone through a large amount of the nessicary background and testing that is required of me to teach in the state of Virginia.

About the lesson

I will introduce myself to them and talk to them about the content I working with them on in order to see what their strengths and weaknesses in the subject are. From that, I work with them to cover their weaknesses and allow the student to succeed in the classroom enviroment.

I have worked with a large variety of students and catered to their needs, and so I am willing to work with your child to create an individualized plan to best suit their learning needs.

look for a teacher who is willing to work with you and your needs, not one who attempts to force you into a mold.

I recently was honored to participate in the JMU DEI conference and to learn from experts in the field of education with strategies to aid all students in their learning endevors

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think the only question students need to think about before asking about their needs is "what do I need to ask for?" All students are different and a good educator should be understanding when working with a student who has needs outside of the norm and work to adapt to that need.

Your child is unique and so are their circumstances because of this I am willing to work with flexible pricing depending on what is required of me.
