About Kyra
I specialize in writing because I truly enjoy it, and I am knowledgeable in that field. I often write for fun in different forms and love the work I do.
I love watching my students become confident in their writing voice. Writing is complicated and it is an art. I love that I get to help students put their thoughts onto paper and make it sound elegant.
I became interested in teaching after having a high school history teacher who clearly loves her job and cares about her students. She connected with me well, and in turn, I actually learned the content. (I had no interest in history.) I wanted to be that type of teacher for my future students, so I decided to pursue teaching.

I would like copies of the writing assignments you are working on in advance (at least 24 hours) so that I can best prepare for our session. Having this information shows me the requirements of the assignment, such as writing styles you may have to follow, certain topics you need to mention, etc. The more information you can give me, the more material I have to work with to help you be successful.
From there, it will depend on where you are in the writing process. We can use the session to research, create writing plans, revise work, fix grammar and punctuation, etc.
I have experiences with all types of students. My teaching experience has mainly taught me how to motivate the uninterested/discouraged students. I know how important it is to connect with students and give them confidence, especially when it comes to writing.
