About Olivia

I love helping others succeed.

I've always wanted to be a teacher – I think since I knew what "a teacher" was. My parents and my grandparents are all teachers in one form or another.

I have my BA from Wagner College, focusing on Theater and Literary Criticism with a minor in Writing. While at Wagner, I was an editor in the school newspaper and the literary magazine. I've had short works published in the Youthink Literary Magazine and Nimbus (Magazine).

Since I was 15 in tutoring and other forms of educational programming, I've worked as an educator.

About the lesson

I've worked with students of all different ages. Recently, I've worked primarily with students between the ages of 5 and 11, but I would love to build connections and work with older students again, too.

It's about connection and respect. If you don't vibe with your tutor or teacher, you need to find another one, especially if you do not feel that your opinions or voice is being respected by them. A teacher that you hire is meant to help you grow – if there's no respect, then your growth will be hurt or stunted.

On average, I charge $43 for a session of 45 minutes to 1 hour, but I'm always open to negotiation and reserve the right to adjust my pricing depending on the subject matter and extra demands.
