My 12-year-old son benefited greatly from this class. Mr. Batiste connected with my son on a personal level by asking him some questions about his interests; this took away my son's inhibitions. He was also quite engaging with the topic, and gave attainable goals to the students. Though Mr. Batiste is a college professor, this class is on-level for children in the specified ages. The class presented techniques for essay-building that will help my son for many years to come. We're saving our notes for future essays.

Our kids are reluctant writers. Dr. Batiste focused on their interests and showed them how, from a few words and a little brain-storming, one can form an essay. Excellent!

It was a 2 week class and my 17 yo daughter learned so much & was very confident going into Comp 1 at the community college this past semester where she is dually enrolled. Mr. Batiste teaches Comp 1 at a community college so he knew excactly what my daughter needed to know to be sucessful. It was a great class. I hope to enroll my 7th & 8th graders with Mr. Batiste in future classes.
