About Angela

I started tutoring special need students about 2 years ago in Math and English. I love working with all types of children, and my work has been highly noted. I'm able to help children understand the work on their phone, until they no longer need a tutor! I'm a published author of poetry, essays, ahort stories and fiction. I'm also a freelance essay editor, and have edited college essays for students. I'm able to tutor in a variety of subjects besides Math and English, including psychology, biology and history. In high school, I was awarded by my school for highest grade in English, Biology and Algebra. When it comes to tutoring students, I believe note taking is quite stragetic, and I like to walk them through the problems step by step, compare answers and correct their error, if any. I truly enjoy my work, and believe everyone has the capability of improving their intelligence. I promise your child will be highly educated in no time. I can't wait to start working with you!

I enjoy seeing students grow in their education, and being able to prosper. Im great at motivating and encouraging students to become a master at their subjects, so much that they're not only doing it because they need to, but because they want to.

Someone I knew needed a Math tutor for his son, so I volunteered, and later on it became my primary job. And because I'm extremely educated in various topics and have expierence myself, I enjoy teaching others everything their is to know about any subject.



I first became a tutor for special needs. This was before the pandemic, and I would go to my clients home. I work with all types of students, regardless of their background. I've tutored at high schools as well. I've taken courses on English, Biology, Psychology, History and Math and am a credible expert in these areas. I'm also a published other of fictional books, poetry and essays!

When working with a new student, I like to accommodate with their school and meet ALL their needs. The process is fairly easy, and straight to the point. I would like to get to know the student, the area they struggle in and how best they learn. From there, the work begins!



I've worked with high school students, grade 9-12th. I've also worked with middle school, and elementary students, so basically all K-12 Grades. I've worked with special need students, and students who have learning difficulties and those who don't. I'm open to work with any type of student.



Don't give up on yourself! Everyone has the capability to became an expert in any area. Just because you're struggling now, doesn't mean it's permanent. We all had to learn what we know now in order to teach it to others. Doing extra reading, writing, and researching will grow your knowledge. The more you learn on your own, the more you'll be able to enjoy what you're learning.

"What's the best what I learn? Lectures, visual or hands on?"

"Does doing extra work help me?"

"Why am I struggling?"

Details

The first day is a test trial to see if the student or parent like myself, if not, then there's no charge. After that, I normally charge $30 an hour, depending on the complexity of the subject, the students grade level and how much work needs to be completed. I would never charge more than $50. Also, if the family is going through a financial situation and need a tutor urgently, then the price is relatively much lower. Just let me know what the situation is, and I promise you, you won't have to worry about paying too much. I charge primarily low because I believe students wanting to improve their skills, and extend their education should not have to pay much to do so. Most tutors charge $60-$100 an hour. With my expierence, I'd say my price is good for a top tutor.
