About Rosalina
Petrova Tutoring aims to teach students thoroughly and effectively. A good teacher can open a student's eyes to the world. An authentic teaching experience can fuel a student for a lifetime. When I teach, I hope to change student's outlooks on the subjects they learn. I want my students to be as excited about learning as I am about teaching.
I began tutoring by volunteering to teach ESL students at my local immigration center when I was freshman in high school. I also tutored kids through my high school's honors program. I taught Spanish, English, and History. Over the summer I began tutoring Spanish to children in elementary school.
I am currently a student at Northeastern University. I have tutoring experience from throughout my high school career.

Before all else, I get to know the student first. Learning can be difficult, as most subjects are taught in ways that don't apply to every student. My first priority is that my students enjoy what they learn. Thus, I incorporate subjects personalized to each student. Students will also receive free Quizlets and study guides to review during their down time.
I have worked with students of all ages and learning types. When I taught ESL at my local immigration center, many of my students were in their 50s. Furthermore, I have experience teaching young children Spanish and English. However, I am most familiar with teaching high school students. Given that I was recently in high school, I am very familiar with high school curriculum, as well as the world's current educational environment.
I would advise students to find a teacher that they can have fun with. Learning is meant to be as fulfilling as it is useful; don't opt for rogue memorization or boring practice tests.
I recently went to a sunflower field with my best friend. It was my first time going to one and it was absolutely beautiful. I took many pictures!
