About Sancia

I am 19 years old and would love to be able to assist you in achieving your academic goals as I believe each every person should have and do whatever they can to reach their true potential and succeed whilst building confidence as well as truly enjoying the work they are doing. I will be attentive, patient and as understanding as possible whilst maintaining a fun, cheerful and pressure free environment to encourage the students to relax and enjoy the process. Tutoring has not been a main job of mine I must admit, however I have helped various students in a variety of subjects particularly English and English literature and have shared and passed on my knowledge as well as previous experiences and information I have gathered over the years of studying and grasping new concepts and I would love to be able to share my thoughts, notes, websites, videos and any other resources I have to offer in order to help you as the students to achieve your aspirations. I have helped friends, family and other students in my area who have come to me as recommended based on my exam results. I have obtained qualifications and successfully completed O level (IGCSE), A level as well as AS level obtaining 2 A's 6 B's and a C at IGCSE level ABC at both AS and A level (in my subjects of expertise being English and English literature I achieved an A for English and B for literature at IGCSE level and at AS level I achieved an A for literature and a C for English. I achieved academic half colors based on these results and was one point away from full colors.

I look forward to potentially working with you and inspiring you to not only work hard but to have fun at the same time time. Since I recently left school I feel I will be able to communicate effectively as well as understand the students in terms of lingo as well as their feelings and what they would expect from me as well enjoying my methods of learning and memorizing important things. Thank you for taking the time to read this :)

I am also ble of tutoring younger students and would absolutely love to teach children between ages 9-13 however I am able to assist any student no matter what level they are at and would take pride in my work either way.

It started for me whilst I was still in school however it wasn't teaching as so but rather just helping friends and other students wherever I could by explaining concepts, sharing my methods of memorization as well my notes and resources, from there I noticed an increase in demand for help and tutors due to lockdowns and I started helping family members studying for IGCSE level as well as other students who are studying the same subjects that I have completed

I have completed up to the highest level of secondary education (Cambridge) obtaining 2A's 5B's and a C at IGCSE level and A,B,C at both AS and A level.

I specialised in English and English literature all the way through to my final A level year of high school which I completed through an online Cambridge service known as Wolsey Hall and achieved an A for English literature and a C for English language.

My typical process would be to get to know the student first and find out what they enjoy about the subject and where they struggle by going through topics or the syllabus and highlighting areas where they require help. Before beginning I will ask the student if they are ready or have any questions already prepared for me to answer however I will not just give away answers but rather encourage my student to understand how the answers come about. I will remind the student to always feel free to ask me anything and ensure their comfort throughout my lessons whilst engaging with the student a providing a fun and enjoyable learning environment as I understand that as a student in the modern day, lockdown and quarantine have affected everyone in so many different ways separate from educational ways and I'd like to assist in their learning as well as allowing them to escape any pressures they may face.

I have worked with young students of about age 11 as well as students aged 13,14 and 15 in addition to an A level student in which I have shared my recent file and notes with  in order to provide her with a different perspective

There are many things I would say however my main word of advice would be to not be so hard on yourself and put pressure on yourself as that is when you tend to lose train of thought and make unnecessary mistakes. Rather focus on one thing at a time and believe you can do it ! Balance is key and by this I mean that working hard shall come with rewards and taking a break or doing something fun is beneficial.

A recent event I am fond of would have to be restoration of peace in South Africa following the dangerous looting and protests as well as the rebuilding and restoration of businesses and services that were damaged or destroyed. Another event I am fondness of is the increased awareness in the worlds needs and how we can help protect the earth and its oceans.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I feel that students should think about whether they have thoroughly thought of their need in particular and tried to work it out on their own before talking to their teachers as well as trying to find any notes or online resources that could provide them with a stepping stone to figuring out their need and if after that they are still struggling then the best way would be to communicate with their teacher and receive one in one help
