About Madeline

Hi there! My name is Madeline. I am a 22 year old tutor who has been at helping students with their schooling since I was in grade school myself.

I am a recent college graduate who strives to learn more every day, and I have plans to return to school for many topics of interest as my life goes on.

I have experience with all subjects, especially sciences and writing. Whilst in high school and college I worked as a tutor, helping my peers in both classes I took, and ones I did not.

I look forward to helping your student achieve good grades and learn something new each day!

**note: I am mostly available Mondays and Sunday evening due to working full time and schooling part time! :)

I genuinely enjoy helping others learn, and in that process enjoy learning myself.

The world can be anunforgiving place to those who do not succeed academically, and in many cases a student's short comings are not at their own fault, but rather a product of poor/misguided teaching or feeling as though they are a lost cause.

I strive to help everyone learn and be the best student they can, I firmly believe that everyone has the capability to be a genuis in their own right with the right guidance and tools.

When I realized that I excelled in school yet saw friends struggling, I saught to help at an early age and stuck with it as I grew older.

I recieved regular high marks on assignments in all classes in grade school though college. I consider myself to be a very emotionally intelligent individual which allows me to connect with and understand others easily.

About the lesson

When I work with a new student I like to get to know a few things:

1) How they learn best

2) Where their struggles are

3) Their current study techniques

By knowing how a student best retains information, it can help me to help them.

By coordinating schedules and setting up study sessions as often as seen fit, I will work with students to help their understanding of topic matter and improve their execution of relaying that information in assignments.

I have worked with students of all backgrounds and identities, usually at a high school level; however, I would be happy to work with students of a lower level too!

Hire someone who is patient, kind, and flexible. Experience comes in many shapes and forms, someone older may not always be "smarter." Get to know the person not only on an academic level, but a personal one as well. It is important that a student feels confortable expressing frustrations and ideas with their instuctors.

I expect an hourly rate for sessions, and a flat fee for paper revisions. Prices are negotiable.
