About Su
My services most definitely stand out because of the student-centered learning I deliver. I make sure to cater all materials and resources to each specific student to ensure success. I also consistently keep myself up to date with learning about the ever growing educational field by educating myself/ attending workshops. I have also been tutoring for many years and have had consistent students for 1-6 years. There are students I have consistently supported for the past 6 consecutive years and seen them grow tremendously in their academics.
I especially enjoy making sure that i set up all of my students for success. I heavily believe that this is possible through hard work, dedication, and student-centered learning/teaching!
I've always wanted to be in the field of education in hopes to help our system flourish and grow to better provide access to ALL students in our society.
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and education and also a master's degere in elementary inclusive education. I am certified as a a general education teacher in the states of NY and CA and also certified in special education in both states as well.

I generally spend the first session going through a few exercises to get to know the student and their learning style. I also use these exercises to highlight student strengths and challenges they may be having before I begin any work with them. This way, the student is guaranteed teaching that fosters the student as an individual.
Students on the ASD spectrum, students with ADHD, students with emotional disorders, students with learning disabilities, and students in general education.
