I was still in college when I started helping people with their essays.

I have a Single Subject California Teaching Credential for English. My training includes coursework and certifications for students who are bilingual, gifted and talented, or emerging writers. Before filmmaking or teaching, I worked as co-chief editor (with Russell Harper) of medical copy for The Practice Builder. (Russell is presently chief editor of 'The Chicago Manual of Style'.)

About the lesson

I find your specific needs first. If they are project based, we go to work very quickly. If they are knowledge-based, I have diagnostic tools to pinpoint key development areas and exercises to help students even when I'm away.

I've worked with students as young as 11-years old and as old as fifty, and I have tutored both native and non-native speakers of English.

My latest student, John, required help on a college Physics presentation. Though it was a film-based project, I was able to help him with both editing the film and writing the narrative. Yes, the presentation went well. ;-)
