Hi Students!
I am very excited about joining Tutor.com and hope I can be of great assistance with your educational goals. I have been a Librarian for almost 20 years, as well as an English and Grammar instructor and tutor for 10 years. I find working with students on an individual basis to be rewarding and gratifying.
I have a wide range of experience assisting students in secondary school, college and graduate school writing, grammar, organizational skills, research and other English related topics. I have extensive experience working in APA and MLA formatting guidelines, as well as helping students create and strengthen research questions and thesis statements.
As for my own education, I have a Bachelors of Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Opisbo and a Masters Degree in Information and Library Science from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Please feel free to view my LinkedIn Profile at (concealed information)
I enjoy working with students ages 14 and up who are in need of assistance with any writing assignment. Helping someone who is feeling overwhelmed or stressed out about an essay or research paper brings me much statisfaction. There is no better feeling for me when a students starts to feel less anxious and becomes more confident about the writing process and their ability to compete assignments.
I have almost 20 years experience working in libraries and higher education. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science and Pratt University, Brooklyn, NY with a Masters in Library and Information Science. For the past 10 years I have taught Writing Skills and English Composition at FIDM in Orange County, CA, as well tutored students in writing and grammar.
