About Christine

Since I was 9 years old I have been writing essays and presenting them in front of an audience, who critiques them! In high school, I was educated through Classical Conversations, a homeschool-based learning curriculum known for its excellent literature program. If it weren't for the literature program I had in high school, I wouldn't be in the college I am today!

Literature and writing are some of my favorite topics and something I am deeply passionate about! My aim for tutoring is to work with you in order that you may reach your literature and writing goals!

I have studied English and British literature as well as Latin for over 5 years. Writing is one of my many passions and I love working with others who have a desire to learn and understand literature more!

I am well educated on persuasive, expository, and creative writing. Aside from college essays, I enjoy doing writing in my own free time different novels and poems because it brings me an area to create something nobody else has and I feel proud of what I create!

I've been in public speaking, tutoring, and mentoring programs for most of my life! I enjoy one-on-one tutoring because it allows me to build connections and relationships as well as allow for more personalized tutoring strategies.

I have tutored children and adults in literature/grammar. I enjoy working with both! I have worked in class settings as well as one-on-one.

About the lesson

My first session is always free in order to offer you the opportunity to get to know me and see if you are comfortable with my tutoring techniques. Every person has their own way of learning and it's important to work with someone who can bring you the strategies you need.

During the first session, we will go over where you are at in your writing skillset and what your goals are. We will go over different learning strategies that we can use to help you reach your goals. I will also do a few skill tests to gain a better understanding of your writing skills and how to help you improve them!

I have worked with children and young adults.

Make sure you are comfortable with your teacher and that you feel they can truly bring you to your goals. Not all tutors are right for you!
