About Business Talk

Hi Everyone,

This is Margaret Hasan. I am a former teacher as well as a current writer and online marketer. I taught middle school for four years. My experience in writing and marketing extends back 20 years.

I feel secure about my teaching talents in that experience has shown me I am keenly insightful in communicating and recognizing in a student the understanding of a topic and how to implement and best utilize its attributes.

I look forward to meeting and working with students who are seeking a secure proficiency in their subject matter.

BA, English, Spanish, French

Post degree Education in Secondary Education

Two years as a middle school teacher - English, Spanish, French

Two years of employee training - computerized document processing

20 years as a Technical Writer - technical instruction to in-house, engineering, user, and employee audiences for Fortune 500 companies

Two years as a marketing writer for Fortune 500 companies

Two years as an ad copywriter and blogger - marketing for small businesses

About the lesson

I first ask about the student's general interests. I next find out why the student is concentrating on the current subject.

I then hold a conversation to discover how the student feels about the topic with respect to interests, comfort, reluctance, and self-assurance with the subject matter.
