About Jennifer
My grandmother was a dedicated teacher my mother Taught art classes my entire childhood as a part of her commitment to her own craft, the principal that if you are teaching you are always learning is a big part of her art practice. My father taught landscape architecture and garden planning at Tarrant county community college as a side job when he went into private practice as a landscape architect. There is a long history of sharing skills and the other people build their potential. In some ways I fell into teaching because it is a natural part of being an artist for me.

Begin with an interview of the student and review of their work, a Conversation about what they would like to achieve and the investment they are able to make towards that achievement.
in the first session we went also do some thing creative in terms of an assignment so that the student and I can get a feel for one another and how we might best work together.
Before the next session
I Create a individualized syllabus for the purpose of achieving those goals. Each session begins with a technical warm up for that discipline to shake off the day and focus the mind. Followed by discussion and/or skill introduction which includes demonstration of a technique or process.
Open the floor for questions and then we get to the business of getting out of the way and making some thing that we can talk about.
I have taught all ages of students but connect best with teens and adults.
