About Jazlyne

I am both a professional artist and a teacher. I have a Bachelors degree in Art from Clark Atlanta University and a Masters degree in Art Education from Boston University.

I've built and taught a high school level visual arts program for the past 3 years. My life's spark lives in the arts and I love sharing my passion with my students.

About the lesson

Introductions: Getting to know about my students personality,culture, background, and visual arts goals will help me to better instruct them, grounding the instruction in who they are.

Foundational Skills: At the beginning of classes I like to start by assessing the current skill level so we can decide the next step. Each individual student may be at a different stage in their education journey. New skills are introduced.

Skill Application: At this level skills have been introduced and students learn to apply them to drawing, painting, etc.

Advanced Skill: At this level students have shown growth and advancement of skill level and are ready to exercise those more independently. I as instructor support and help guide and analyze the work through introduction of professional in the field and art history.
