About Ali

Hi! My name is Ali Stones, and I am a twenty-something creative enthusiast with a passion for education. I am a painter, printmaker, "sketchbooker", and a little bit of everything in between. I love the arts, and I love sharing that love through education with young people.

I have a BA in studio art from the College of Charleston, and I just finished my Master of Arts in Teaching degree in art education from Converse College.

I believe art can change the world. I believe everyone is an artist, especially kids and teens. My goal in life is to teach and inspire young people to reach their greatest creative potential so that they can use their skills to ignite their own passions and dreams.

Creativity has the power to do anything!

I started teaching in the classroom during my art education graduate program at Converse College. I never thought I'd be the teaching type, but I fell in love with it! Now I want to start teaching private lessons to budding artists.

I have a BA in studio art and a MAT in art education.

About the lesson

Let's get to know each other! You can contact me by phone/email/text, and you tell me what kind of class you or your child is looking for. I am extremely flexible with content, media, and scheduling so we can make these lessons super personal to you.

Next, let's meet! Set up an appointment to come to my home to meet me, my husband and cats! I can show you around the art room and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We can also use that time to talk more specifically about scheduling lessons and my rates. From there we will make an appointment for our first lesson!

I have worked with K4 up to 12th grade.

Look for someone who is not just passionate about making art, but really makes art their life. Enthusiastic teachers always have great results with their students.

I had a piece make it into a local exhibit and it was so thrilling to be included with many talented local artists!

Details

I have varying packages and rates depending on what you would like to learn. Most classes are between $20-30 dollars per class. Each class can be an hour to an hour and a half long. You can pay weekly per class, or we can set up a package deal that includes 4 lessons and materials that you pay the total cost for up front during the first lesson.
