About Karla
It's important for me to teach other artists the basics. That being said, the experimental process is important to me because it allows for the artists to get to understand their materials and desires in creating art through the practice of exploration and play.
I love to work with artists of all ages. Part of my art practice is to help others grow and feel comfortable expressing themselves artistically. I feel inspired and motivated when I work with others creatively.
I've worked with young artists from ages 4+
I graduated with a BA in Studio Art with a focus on painting. I have taken traditional painting classes as well as animation classes and sculpture.
I have an array of credits in Early childhood education.

When working with a new student it's important for me to understand more of the student's background in the arts in any. It's important for me to see where each student is at in their artistic practice. Once I understand that by observation through our first session I'm able to plan ahead better content that is more appropriate per student.
