About Laura
There is such immense joy in teaching students how to find their creative side and achieve their goals of becoming the artist they have longed to be. I encourage self-expression teaching you how to use the tools to achieve that creative side within. I love teaching and creating with a passion from cartooning/caricaturing to fine art. I have a background in commercial art and fine art. I have always done/doodling cartoons but incorporating and using the cartooning/caricaturing came later. I typically ask students for the first art class to pick something fairly easy to create in whatever medium they choose ..this gives me an idea at what level they are at and where we need to start...I also found that if your painting something you like you will enjoy the process and find it much easier to learn. If I asked you to paint grapefruits and you hated grapefruit you would not enjoy or want to learn how to paint something you hate.
