About Vanessa

Art is my passion! I have been a multi-media artist my whole life and am very experienced and comfortable working with watercolors, acrylics, oils, pens, pencils, etc. I have taught high school and elementary art classes and I used to own a face painting company where I trained other artists to face paint!

Art is supposed to be fun and therapeutic. I enjoy creating as much as I enjoy inspiring others to discover their own passion and talent.

The first time I taught anyone how to do any type of art was when I taught artists how to face-paint for my company. Eventually I expanded our services to include wine and paint events so I taught kids and adults how to paint. I also taught art classes at schools and I was referred to that job by a friend.

High school and College studio art classes.

Live painted and sold my own work at art shows.

Owned and ran a face painting company for 5 years. Trained other artists so I could expand the company. I also taught wine and paint classes/parties.

Taught high school and elementary school art classes for 2 years.

About the lesson

First we will discuss what the student hopes to learn and get out of the classes. After that I can put together an intro based on experience so we can build a foundation of techniques portfolio that will make for a good reference point, should the student need to re-visit certain things between future projects. My goal is to provide a fun and easy learning experience while helping students express their own individuality through various art styles.

Elementary students to senior citizens, all ages and experience levels.

I make music as well and I recently had a show at a really cool venue and had a great turnout!
