About Anita

I am a full time artist, and design and etch monuments and headstones. I also teach art basics that apply to all of the visual arts.

My background is in illustration and I do realistic style work. I have gallery experience as well, from owning and operating a gallery in Branson, Mo. I currently am on the board of the Bonner Springs Arts Alliance in Bonner Springs, KS., and oversee the Burch Tree Gallery non-profit.

I have many years experience in the arts, including visual arts and music.

I studied with art basics with illustrator, J. Leland Jones for 3 years. My experience includes co-owner operator of a gallery for 14 years, and I am currently a full time artist with my own company. I also serve as VP with Bonner Springs Arts Alliance, and direct the Gallery.

About the lesson

I offer 2 types of classes. Beginners often like a 2 hour introductory class to follow and paint a pre-planned subject. The class is $30, and supplies are included to complete a 16 x 20 canvas. Minimum of 6 students per class. Classes are in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

The second option is for the serious artist. I offer 4 week sessions of 90 minutes. We go through art basics such as perspective, color, shading, composition. Each artist chooses a subject photograph to paint from, and works on the painting as we study. This class is for those who are interested in a more complete study of painting.

The cost is $100 per student for 4 classes, and supplies are required. Minimum of 6 students per class.
