About Jill
I have been teaching students of all ages for 12 years. I love teaching drawing, painting, printmaking, and exposing students to the creative process!
I started teaching in graduate school in 2010, and have loved it ever since.
I have a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Painting. I have taught for the school district, colleges, museums, after school centers, and as a private tutor.

My students learn the technical aspects of making art through fun and creative projects. I am an easy-going person, but I'm serious about making art and making sure my students are getting the most out of their experience.
I have taught children, adults, college students, inmates, kids in foster care, and students with developmental disabilities.
I have been teaching high school sculpture classes, and I have enjoyed teaching a "soft" sculpture project, which is basically sewing felt into 3D plushies. I love how so many of my students are drawn to sewing, even if it is their first time, and how much patience they have for it.
