About Rebecca

During graduate school, I taught college aged students for two years, bringing them from beginners to advanced drawing students. From sketching to polished drawings with accurage proportions and smoothtoned shading.

Since that time, I taught several beginning drawing and painting classes for both school aged children and adults and have developed a group of lessons with skills that anyone can learn to get them started on the road of drawing from life.

About the lesson

Getting to know each other and establish a comfortable baseline for trust is important as we walk this journey together. I like to get an idea of where my art companions are in terms of experience and the direction they wish to go. This way, with good communication, we can be sure you, my student, are receiving what you want.

We will go at a very individualized pace. If there is no background, I will be happy to take all the time that is needed to go over their materials, answer any questions, calm nerves and come alongside to ensure the most rewarding progress forward from where they currently are.

If there is a good deal of background, we can move forward to where the student currently is and introduce more advance techniques.
